The Department of Physics at Tulane University offers programs leading to a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy. Many of our undergraduate majors are dual majors, receiving joint degrees in fields such as pre-medicine, law, engineering, business, philosophy, psychology, mathematics, biology and art. This opens a broad range of career choices. Graduate programs include research in condensed matter physics (theory and experiment), atomic, molecular and optical physics (theory and experiment), materials properties (theory and experiment), nuclear physics (theory and experiment), mathematical physics, relativity (theory), biophysics (theory and experiment) and surface science (experiment).
