Patrick Egan is an associate professor in the Department of Political Science at Tulane University. He teaches courses and conducts research on the politics of monetary regimes, multinational corporations and development, and other international political economy topics.
He earned a B.S. from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 1999 and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2011. His research has been published in Latin American Politics and Society, International Interactions, and Review of International Political Economy. His book is on the political and institutional determinants of innovative foreign direct investment in emerging economies, and is available from MIT Press.
Patrick is from Clemson, South Carolina and lives in New Orleans.
