Pro-Parris/Salem Village
Mean Ratios: 1681-1700
Comparing the average taxes of the pro-Parris faction with those of Salem Village adds additional evidence for the economic rebound of pro-Parris petitioners after 1695. By 1700, their average tax was once again higher than the average tax of a Salem Villager. Although somewhat lower than in 1681, it was higher than in the year just prior to the outbreak of witchcraft.
