Dan Henderson

 

 

 

 Dan Henderson was a pioneer in the communications technology field during the 1980’s and 1990’s, and participated in the development of international computer and communications networks in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. 

Following the sale of his software company, he took an active role in community development in Louisiana, as both an elected member of the local school board, an appointee to the local Planning and Zoning Commission, and has served on various community and non-profit boards.  

During this time he has also been Chairman of the Louisiana’s State Arts council, administering grants and advising state and local arts agencies, representing the state on the boards of the Southern Arts Federation and the National Association of State Arts Agencies.

Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University, concentrating on Industrial Administration.  He is currently Director of Information Technology Business Development at the Louisiana Department of Economic Development, aiming to add jobs & investment in the state’s Information Technology sector.

Louisiana’s new cluster based economic strategy is unique.  The strategy is lead by directors, all experts in their field, who know what is going on and how to facilitate growth in the industry.  Each will provide a state of their industry with a focus on the opportunities and challenges specific to their industry.
