Joseph T. Booth
Lt. Col.
Booth commands Crisis Response and Special Operations Section of the Louisiana
State Police. His duties include leading the Crisis Management Team, commanding
specialized emergency responses such as hazardous materials and explosives,
operation of the Louisiana Emergency Response Training Center, and various other
duties related to Homeland Security.
Lt. Col. Booth is a 25 year veteran of State Police. He holds a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice and a Juris Doctorate in Law, and has been a member of the Louisiana Bar since 1988. Lt. Col. Booth has successfully argued before the appellate and State Supreme Court.
Lt. Col. Booth is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He sits on a number of national committees including the Inter Agency Board and Zola. He is program manager for local communication interoperability matters and a Department of Defense Homeland Security project.
