Panel: Drivers not required – Autonomous Vehicle Operation in Unknown Terrain

Team Gray's autonomous vehicle "Kat-5" made history by finishing fourth in DARPA's (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) 2005 Grand Challenge, where for the first time ever, autonomous vehicles were able to travel a significant distance over rough terrain at relatively high speeds.  In this session, we will describe the technologies, mechanisms and methods that were used to develop the vehicle, as well as tell our unique story, including pictures and videos of the race itself.
