John H. Grubbs, PhD, PE

John H. Grubbs, PhD, PEJack Grubbs believes in living life to the fullest and has a proven track record of positive, ‘up-front’ leadership. He has led organizations from less than ten to well over a thousand. His methodology for success is rooted in respect for others, maintaining standards, teambuilding and being outrageously creative. He’s an engineer, educator and mediocre trombone player; once a private, now a retired brigadier general; a college soccer player and junior college basketball player (still has a nice three-point shot – and three-inch vertical leap). Holding a doctorate in civil engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he has won both research and teaching awards. Jack has spoken to groups from the army squad to the multi-billion dollar corporation on topics of leadership, ethics and integrity, team-building and excellence in education. He has written numerous engineering and education articles and, just for the fun of it, recently completed his first novel – BAD INTENTIONS. Jack lives in Charlotte, North Carolina where he is a principal of Simon-Meyer, Charlotte, LLC, a construction consulting firm.
