Charles J. Ledet
Mr. Ledet is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ION Geophysical Corporation (formerly Input/Output, Inc.) a provider of seismic imaging technologies and services. Mr. Ledet holds BS and MS Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Orleans. He has over 17 years of experience in the oil and gas exploration industry. Mr. Ledet has held a variety of technical and management positions in ION, including Senior Vice President of Land Imaging Systems and Senior Vice President of Marine Imaging Systems. He joined ION in 1998 when ION acquired DigiCOURSE, a New Orleans based provider of marine seismic positioning system solutions. Prior to his employment with ION Mr. Ledet held various technical positions with Boeing Petroleum Services and Litton Data Systems.
The Applications of Emerging Seismic Technology
As hydrocarbon reserves are being depleted and world demand for energy is at an all time high, new technologies are needed to find and exploit oil and gas in challenging environments. New advances in seismic acquisition and data processing technologies now allow geologist and geophysicists to see more clearly the reserves the sub-surface holds.
