Harry J. Glidden, Independent Consultant Delivery Resource, DuPont Safety Resources
Harry Glidden joined DuPont Safety Resources in January 2009, following retirement after 42 years of continuous service within the DuPont Company. His experience has included technical support to operations, production supervision, technical supervision, process/product development activities, and process safety leadership. He has been a leader in various aspects of Process Safety Management (PSM) at the local site, business, division, and corporate level. He is a qualified Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) leader, a qualified PSM lead auditor, and a qualified instructor for several PSM-related subjects.
Harry also has expertise and experience in product development and implementation. He understands competitive analysis and economic evaluation. He has dealt with community groups and understands the concept of maintaining the implicit community "right to operate."
The majority of Harry's DuPont experience has been attached to a local plant location. He has been a member of local site leadership for the last 20 years while also serving in a leadership role for business, regional, and corporate groups. He understands the relations and communication needs between local sites and corporate management. He also understands the required relationship between management and local employees to implement safety and other systems to improve performance.
