Armin Mehrabi, PhD, PE
Armin B. Mehrabi, Ph.D., P.E., is the President of Bridge Engineering Solutions specializing in evaluation, health monitoring, and rehabilitation of bridges in general and cable-supported bridges in specific. He has developed non-destructive evaluation and inspection methods for bridge structures, and has been involved in qualification testing and evaluation of eleven cable-stayed bridges, five suspension bridges, and five arch bridges in the US and abroad. He is the winner of several awards including the "One of Top 25 Newsmakers of the Year, 1997, By ENR," for developing a Laser-Based Cable Monitoring System with the support of US Federal Highway Administration. Dr. Mehrabi received his Masters degree from University of Tehran, Iran, and Ph.D. in civil engineering from University of Colorado, Boulder. He has published more than 50 papers in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and several articles in professional magazines. Dr. Mehrabi is a registered professional engineer in Nebraska, Louisiana, New York, and Florida.
