Steve Blume
A native of Kansas, Steve graduated from Kansas State University in 1979 with a BS degree in agricultural engineering and holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington.
He began his career with Mobil in 1980 as an engineer and advanced with the company through various engineering, planning and managerial assignments. With Mobil, Steve served as Risk Analysis Manager for Mobil Sales and Supply, and then Downstream Planning Associate for Mobil Corporation. He progressed as Pricing and Technology Manager, Mid America Marketing Manager and later Crude Oil Supply and Pipeline Manager for Mobil Oil Company. After the Exxon and Mobil merger, he served as Global Planning Support manager for ExxonMobil Refining and Supply and was then named Regional Planning Manager for ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. Since 2002, Steve has worked at the Singapore Refinery, first as Technical Manager, and then as Refinery Manager since Feb. 2003. Steve began his role as ExxonMobil Baton Rouge Refinery Manager on Aug. 1, 2008.
Steve and his wife Debbie have four sons — Sean, Brian, Michael and Kevin.
