Thomas S. Coolbaugh

Dr. Coolbaugh is a Distinguished Scientific Associate with ExxonMobil Research & Engineering. He earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Amherst College in Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology with Prof. Robert Grubbs, 2005 Nobel laureate in Chemistry. Dr. Coolbaugh also earned an M.S. in Management of Technology from Polytechnic University in New York.

Dr. Coolbaugh has extensive experience in a variety of research settings as a research scientist and research leader. He has been with ExxonMobil for 23 years and currently leads ExxonMobil's downstream oil spill response technology group.
