Edwin Tam
Edwin Tam is currently the Manager, New Strategic Initiatives, for Teknor Apex Company. Edwin is responsible for marketing and sales of Teknor Apex Bioplastics Division. Before joining the Bioplastics Division, Edwin was the Senior Market Manager for Thermoplastic Elastomer Division in both the Consumer and Industrial Markets. Prior to joining Teknor, Edwin held various positions in Technical, Applications Development, Market Development, Marketing and Sales with MicroChem, Saint-Gobain, J-Von, Arkema and Monsanto Chemical Company.
Edwin has received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, a Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Kent State University. He is the current Technical Program Chair (TPC) of ANTEC 2011 Bioplastics SIG; Vice Chair of SPI Bioplastics Council, Board Member of Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) and past Chair and TPC for the SPE TPE Special Interest Group (SIG).
