Frank Gallaher
Frank
Gallaher, President of Fossil
Operations and Transmission,
is responsible for the planning,
operation, engineering, construction
and maintenance of Entergy's
fossil generating units and
the transmission system.
He
began his career with Entergy
in 1969 as an engineer for Entergy
Mississippi where he advanced
through the engineering and
operations area until being
named Vice President and Chief
Engineer for Entergy Mississippi
in 1985. In 1991, he was named
Vice President, System Planning
for Entergy Services, Inc. He
was promoted to Executive Vice
President, Fossil Operations
in 1992. In 1994, at the time
of the merger with Gulf States,
he was given the additional
responsibility as President,
Entergy Gulf States. In 1996,
he was named Group President,
Chief Utility Operating Officer.
He was named to his present
position in 2000.
Gallaher
was graduated from Mississippi
State University in 1968 with
a Bachelors of Science in electrical
engineering and in 1969 with
a Masters of Science in electrical
engineering. In 1975, he received
a M.B.A. from Mississippi College,
where he also earned a Juris
Doctorate in 1981. He completed
the Advanced Management Program
at Harvard Business School in
1988.
Gallaher
is a member of the boards of
the Foundation for the MidSouth,
the Electric Power Research
Institute, and Association of
Edison Illuminating Companies.
He is a registered professional
engineer in Mississippi, a member
of the Mississippi State Bar
Association, and a member of
the Institute of Electrical
and Electronic Engineers.
