Michael Parks arrived in New Orleans on September 15, 2005 as part of the BellSouth Emergency Control Center Hurricane Leadership augmentation team. After stabilizing the Westbank/Houma and Northshore areas, assumed responsibility for restoring the remaining devastated areas in the Metro portion of the South Louisiana district.
