My main area of teaching interest is political theory.  I am prepared to teach courses in democratic theory, various areas of political thought (contemporary, modern, ancient, American), and political ideologies.  I am also prepared to teach an introductory course on American government and politics.  I have experience with social movements.

I was a teaching assistant in the Political Science department at Penn State for 4 years.  I was co-instructor for a senior-level course in modern political thought (focusing on Rousseau), and I also taught introductory courses in political theory.  In 2003, I received the university-wide Graduate Assistant Award for Outstanding Teaching at Penn State.  In 2006 I received the Student Body Award for Excellence in Teaching at Tulane.
