Tulane Karate Club

A mathematics professor at Xavier University, George also taught math at Tulane and UNO.  George's other passion was music, and as an accomplished pianist he could play by memory some of the most difficult classical concertos.  

Our club's sensei and his wife were good friends with George and continue to be with his wife, Marian.  George Boros had an amazing collection of books, and one of the subjects was karate and affine martial arts.  To preserve this part of his library, Marian, Kyriakos and the Tulane Karate Club thought of using George's collection as a base to form a "martial-arts library," available primarily to TKC students, but also to all other ASKF club members in the region.  If there is a specific book you are searching or topic you are researching, ask us - we may be of help.  Click here to see a list.
