SERVICE LEARNING INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Office of Service Learning Internship Program offers internship opportunities to junior and senior level students majoring in English, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and Women's Studies. Students earn 3 credit hours in their major field by completing 60-70 hours at an internship site, participating in a weekly internship seminar at the Office of Service Learning, and creating a final project related to their internship.

The internship seminar is designed to offer opportunities for students to discuss issues relating to their internship experience. The seminar provides a directed, reflective, academic component that will help students think critically about the environmental factors affecting both individuals and communities.

Students or community partners interested in learning more about Service Learning internships should contact Kirsten Marsh (at x3348 or kmarsh@tulane.edu) for more information and to pick up an application!
